As former retail florists for over 40 years combined, we passionately believe in the importance of fresh flowers! We knew from the first talks of opening Mink Street Market years ago that flowers would in some way, somehow play a role in our business.
Our first round of Sunflowers will be ready mid-end of July
We will have cut sunflowers and arrangements available for sale in the market during Sunflower season!
Sun tracking
Technically speaking, it's called heliotropism. This is where a young Sunflower's head will literally move with or "follow" the sun!
ENERGY
On gloomy days, or when the sun goes down, Sunflower's will turn toward each other to share their energy.
RECORD
According to Guinness World Records, the tallest Sunflower was over 30 feet tall!
